Neighborhood Days

A neighborhood day is like a carnival in an inner city neighborhood.  A street is blocked off or a parking lot is rented and the festivities begin.  The “carnival” includes all kinds of activities that meet the needs of the residents of that neighborhood.  Everything is free, including:  haircuts, blood pressure checks, clothing, bags of groceries, carnival games, pony rides, and bounce houses.  The fire department has even shown up to provide relief from the hot sun with their hoses.  At the end of the day free prizes like microwave ovens and bicycles are given away.  Many people respond to the invitation to give their lives to Jesus.
