Discussion:
1. Introduction:
-Israel in the Old Testament = Christians in the New Testament - God’s people
The praises of God’s people are your throne!
-The word praise in the verse means singing and celebration
In the singing and celebration of God’s people is where your throne is!!!
-The word throne means where someone dwells, lives, and sits
In the singing and celebration of God’s people is where God lives, dwells, sits, remains, and settles!
2. Where do different people live?
Homeless person – Where do they live?
-Would they go live in a big house or a castle?
King – Where do they live?
-Would they go live in a dumpster?
Bear – Where do they live?
-Would they go live in a house?
Family – Where do families live
- Would they go live in a tree like a bird?
3. Does God ever move?
- All the people and animals we just talked about have really only one kind of place they live in. They won’t ever go live in a totally different place or way
- God has only one place He lives – In our praises and celebration of Him
-God doesn’t live in our gossip about others
-God doesn’t live in our fears and worries
-God doesn’t live in our sin and rebellion
-God doesn’t live in our mean words and anger
-God doesn’t live in our disobedience
God lives, dwells, remains, sits and settles only in our singing and celebrations and praises
In the singing and celebration of God’s people is where God lives, dwells, sits, remains, and settles!
Conclusion: If we want God to dwell remain, live and settle with us that we need to get rid of sin in our lives.
