Introduction:
-When we decide to live for Jesus what are some of the important things we should do?
(Pray, read our Bible, go to church)
-When we read our Bible we can learn how to have good fruit in our life. We can learn how to deal with conflicts and how to make good choices. God teaches us how to be wise through the Bible.
-I have some words taped up hear (on the white board). They are not in the correct order, so these words don’t mean much. Does someone want to come up and see if they can put him or her in the correct order? When they are in the correct order they are very important.
-“To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are His.” Job 12:13
-This verse means that God has all the wisdom, power, understanding, and that He guides us in perfect ways. (Counsel)
-SAY GOD HAS ALL WISDOM, ALL POWER, ALL UNDERSTANDING. GOD GUIDES ME IN ALL MY WAYS.
-If God has all wisdom, power, understanding and guidance, and He wants to give it to us – How do we get it? (Through HIS WORD)
What Does God’s Word Bring Us?
-Do you know what else God’s Word brings besides, power, wisdom, understanding and guidance?
-Have a volunteer who can read come to the front and find out. (A head of time write the word “joy” on a piece of paper with lemon juice. Let it dry. Have the volunteer hold the paper over a light. The secret message will appear.
-God’s Word gives us joy.
-Can you think about how God’s Word gives us joy?
Conclusion:
-How does God’s Word and wisdom help us with conflicts and choices?
(By reading the Bible and having God’s wisdom we will learn what the right choices are and we will learn how to deal with a conflict in a good way)
-So if we want to have good fruit in our life, if we want to make good choices, and if we want to deal with conflicts the right way we need to have God’s wisdom, power, understanding and guidance in our life.
